This has been listed a couple of times over the last few months I think. Chenoa Illinois is about 45 miles from me and there can't be that many guys with similar cars trying to sell them all at once out of a town of 4,000 people tops.
I don't recall where he started the pricing on this, maybe Stan remembers, but I think it was higher than $2900.
If you look at his other ads he buys and resells unfinished kits, so I'm guessing he preys on frustrated people just looking to get these things out of their garages. I'm betting he still paid less than $2900 for that one.
Al:
You're right. My memory is failing I guess. Could have checked his ads, but didn't think of it.
Thanks for the correction.
That's alright, Bob; I don't catch everything the 1st, or necessarily the 2nd or 3rd time either (which my wife will more than willingly attest to...).

I think this is the same guy who tried to sell the chassis and body separately, as well as, a mold for a widebody. Isn't it?
At one point, he had the body sitting next to the chassis... and now he's placed it all neatly in a pile.
Yeah, here is the original:

I didn't know that it cost $400.00 to set the body on the frame.
Setting on the floor the whole thing was $2,500 in the first ad, now it's $2,900.
I'm going into the "pick up the fiberglass body off the floor and set it on the frame" business at $400.00 bucks a pop. Heck I'll undercut him and do em' for $350.00!
Submit your application with detailed resume as I need somebody to pick up the other end.
I can set, seal and bolt a body in 2hrs....line um up !
I assume we are still talkin' cars here.
Let's not forget, he did custom fab a 'chassis' here. Let's not discount the amount of engineering it took to craft that sucker.

Of course, there is nothing that actually shows he welded that all together. It could just be stacked / placed really neatly.
The thought of some poor guy buying that and trying to make a viable car out of it scares me.
Did someone show this to Ted?... oh wait...
