Hello all, I have just ordered a speedster from Henry at Intermeccanica here in Vancouver.I am trying my best to make it look as authentic as possible. I am basing the car on an early 356 A Speedster Carrera. Does anyone know what website I can order all the original style emblems for interior and exterior. Thanks for you help. I will post pictures as I get them.

Loren, Nice choice.
There are several places to get what you need. Henry knows them all as do most of the guys on this site. Everyone has their favorites and I am sure that they will toss those thoughts your way.

My suggestion is to go to "356registry.org" and hit their links page. Surf around the vendors lists, read what they offer and see what is out there. I also suggest that you look at the "members cars" link for ideas.

Another must do, in my opinion, is to get a couple of 356 specialty books. I like Dr.Brett Johnson's "guide to authenticity" and his "porshe 356: a pictoral guide". There are several others I think you can link to thru "Library" on this site.

If you can't find an original steering wheel, do something other than the normal Nardi. Check Jim Ward's files for a hot steering wheel. A sweet steering wheel can help make the car.

congratulaions and have fun!

Loren, I do agree with Dale, a original steering wheel will really finish your IM. If you look for an authentic Carrera style you should considder the replica VDM GT wheel, supplied by Jeffrey Fellman in Florida. The VDM GT was an original Porsche accesorie for Carrera cars.

Gotta tell you this. An IM dealership opened up 3 miles from my house. Henry builds them, and this place sells them. I went last weekend and drooled for an hour. BEAUTIFUL! A/C, keyless entry, electric windows, power everything. I sat in one that was sold to someone in Chicago. I was told it sold for about $50,000. Big chunk of change, but it was sweeeeet. I could not afford it, but it was nice to look at.

I have an order at IM for a Roadster that I will pick up early next week. The entire process has been great fun. The final weeks and days are tough though. I just want to drive it!
I ordered a Nardi steering wheel but I will probably change the horn button to a Porsche button. I agree that it just finishes it out nicely.
I also agree, the quality of these cars is first class!
