You might want to look at the Intermeccanica maker sight where there are some links for parts.  This site also talks about various VW and 356 suppliers.  There are a few parts that are easier to get from the factory.  For example, the frame based cars (I don't know about the earlier cars) have the engine moved forward 3 1/2 inches to the clutch cable is that much shorter.  I think getting it from Henry is easier than messing with a longer one.  Can you share more specifics about what you bought?  Enjoy!  George

When i shorten a cable ii do it on the wingnut end I first install it and mark it at the clutch fork with the treaded end cut off right where the cable goes into the boss of the treaded end. I drill the cabe and its framents out of the boss and then drill 3 .. 1/8 holes in the side of the boss  . I then  remove the cable from the car   and use the treaded boss  with 1/2 inch of theads stick pass the mark i made to re mark it at the 3rd 1/8 hole near the threads and then cut it  I slide the cable into the boss and Brass brase it But i have also did it nicely with spot welds in the holes of the boss  II did this the first time i did one  I now have  two holes in the inside shop wall that are the completed cables lenth for the next time.

I don.t use any stinkin kits mine look factory

Tomcat2,

Here is a link to the 356 Registry that will tell you all you want to know about front turn signals - http://porsche356registry.org/...rn-signal-types.html  I put a set of original K12627 on my IM Roadster. Pics are posted under my profile IMRoadster if you do a search. You'll see I like the authentic look the best.

As far as parts I would first start by calling Henry at Intermeccanica. IM is free with info so you know what you're looking for. I needed a muffler this summer and was able to find it cheaper on my own. You'll also save import tarrifs & credit card fees for currency exchange if you buy them here in the US.

Have fun!

Thanks a lot. I can't stop 'checking' on it.  Makes you feel like a kid with a new baseball glove. Can't tell who's smile is bigger mine or the cars.  As far as motor goes the previous owner didn't remember details but seem to think "18 something cc's"  prolly 1835???   I'll pull a plug and measure stroke but piston size might be a little tougher to find out.  ??? Obvious stuff: Dual Webers, remote filter, oil cooler, elec. ignition.
