Just purchased driving/fog lights need help with switch placement

Where have people mounted the switch and what switch? Is there one the is more original like?

Assuming you have the typical Beck which emulates a 1957 on Speedster (a "356-A" or "T-2" as opposed to a "Pre-A" or "T-1" which had a 2-gauge dash layout), the fog light switch was a slightly smaller diameter knob (Carey has them) mounted at the same height as the headlight switch, and about 3" to the left of the headlight switch.

Let me know if you need one and I can send along a picture of an original, late '56 356 dash.

Here's mine. I don't have the smaller knob that Gordon mentioned (careful now), but the placement is correct.

I have one small white switch identical to the others that turns on a stereo amp when pulled out half-way, and the fog lights and stereo when fully extended. I like it. I have no head unit, as my car was mired for an mp3 player and some other "gadgets". I have a wire to plug in the mp3 player hiding in the VIN flap. I really wish the speakers were hidden as well, but oh well.

BTW I'll be in Reno in my car next spring when it warms up. My parents are off of 395 and So Meadow parkway. I'll look you up for a blast through the hills.

Look me up and for sure we will head for a spin. I made friends with the guy that purchased the ivory speed off Troy. He is in my office twice a week wanting to know what I have done new to my car and what we can do to his.

You could contact Carey Hines at Special Edition (the Beck folks). If you want the smaller knob and bezel I am sure he could supply those as well. That'd allow you to get the correct look.

A few years ago I got both sizes from Carey at Beck.
