One of my friends let his Speedster sit for a decade- So I traded my running VW for his non-running Speedster- hope to hit the streets real soon in it after I go through the fuel system, tires, and brakes

Do take pictures before you start work on it - they'll be inspiration as you progress. Even old chalky gel coat can be brought back to acceptable sheet shine.
