Got any friends in California who can hold onto this for you? Maybe have 'em just chop off the pieces that you need and send them off in the belly of a Greyhound bus. Throw the remainder back up on ebay.

If you DO get serious about it and end up buying it, you might be able to arrange for a hop-scotch style transport across the country tapping the forum membership with trailers or friend with trailers. I'm in for a section of the run, Gordon's clan may help since he travels from MA right past you on his way South for the Winter months.

Or . . . I've got you covered with my new/old ride.

We did this with a TR8 out of Texas once and it worked out REALLY well. Like handing off the Olympic Torch, but bigger, and rusty, with a little grease thing happening . . .
Yeah, but there aren't many of those salvage yards left. One of the largest (and oldest) left in Central Massachusetts is closing next week, or so, and I would expect a huge crowd of Street Rodders and restorers to be out there for the "Final Pick" this coming Saturday.

Bet'cha TC might be there.......Weather's supposed to be nice and mild, too!!

I can just see those new, cordless, Christmas Sawzalls charging up all over New England right now....
Already been there and gone, that's where this came from:

That yard was, and still is flat out UNBELIEVABLE ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! If you go there with an open mind and a little imagination it'll drastically change your life, honestly. Far too many projects, way too many parts and potential, everywhere you look is another "What if?" or "Why not?"

When you get there your heart will actually start beating faster and you'll begin to bounce up and down like a kid . . . I SWEAR ! ! ! !

Ebay is gonna explode is about two weeks with all this cool stuff.

And all this wonderment is being steadily crushed, has been for the past couple of months or more. Example: there's currently a first generation, COMPLETE Jaguar XKE short nose coupe (the BEAUTIFUL ONE!) with the wire wheels and delicate bumpers and aluminum bonnet and everything else, CRUSHED and at the bottom of a four car stack !

Nothing newer than around 1964, mostly stuff below 1950.

A a a a r r r g g g h h h ! ! ! ! !

(I'm jumping up and down as I type this . . . )
Cory,

Check this one out!

You might really want to include some of the assembly, body and interior details on your own ride. A LOT of these little touches are just perfection. I mean, a grease cap strap? Come on, now, how COOL is THAT ! ? ! ? ! ? !
TC, I'm 'watching' the red one.
Spring will not come and go without one of those roaches hiding behind my house. I appreciate you keeping me up-to-date on the current offerings.
I saw that 550 coupe a couple weeks ago, on the block from Automotive Legends. That's out of my league as long as I have the Hoopty. Again with the garage issues. Not having one, I mean.
I will, sooner or later ... I will ...
"I've dragged worse looking cars to the dump myself!"

And, I recently dragged this one HOME from the dump:
