I know that it's not 356 related, although the cars are kind of step-sisters . . . sort of.

I'm going to sell all of my Karmann Ghia parts to help fund another 356 related project. Would it be correct to list them here, or do you think it best to go elsewhere? I don't want to mis-use this forum or the services offered, you know?

I though it best to ask.

Any opinions or permission to be given?

Thanks,

TC

Mike,

Just WOW!! Is that your Ghia? It's beautiful! In that photo, from that angle, in that color, with those wheels . . . it looks like something that was built by Porsche after the 356 design was retired and before the 912 was introduced.

Haven't you always thought that, had Volkswagen NOT introduced the Ghia when it did, it would have been perfect if Porsche had released IT instead of the 914? They even could have done it as a joint project like the 914. Of course, this means that the Ghia would have come with the flat 2 liter stock and carried the six cylinder as an option . . . what a lovely dream . . .

I think that it would be a mistake to introduce Ghia parts here after all. Not that they wouldn't fit in, but more that it would open the door for other, more serious, violations. "Not a 356, but I tow one behind it. I HAVE to sell my Ford, blah, blah, blah . . . " See what I mean!?

If anyone is looking for a few Ghia parts, just email me and I'll forward a list, hows that.

Thanks Guys!

Nah . . .

That's the real dirt. Here are a couple more pics during the cabrio conversion and roll hoop install.

I think that you can see the 67 tail light housings be welded in as well. The engine is a GM 4.1 out of a Cadillac (they also came in Buicks and some Olds as well) with the usual goodies on it.
Similar i to the mill going into the 55 Continental Coupe, 'cept dressed down for more of a "factory" look.

And a few pics of my "leetle mule"

This is kind of what I do for a fun . . . wreck stuff!
