New to the site. been lurking for a while though. I have a speedster replica. My father bought it in 89 to build. One of those we are getting divorced so im going to go spend alot of money just to spite you. Unfortunately, he never finished it and it sat in the garage till i took over the project in 08. But, I always had my own projects so it came second. But now its number one on my list.. I moved to Indiana 2 years ago from NYC so 2 weeks ago it made its trip to its new home..

Cant remember exactly cause its been about 6 years since i looked at the title. Think it was a 69. My father had already shortened the chassis, I had to weld in new floor pans in 08, And i forced to rebuild a BRAND NEW scat 1915 that he bought in 89. Had water in a cylinder and just destroyed the cylinder. Honestly everything that needs to the be done is cosmetic and wiring. nothing crazy. Im just running into lots of shitty fitment issues. Its a fiberfab body. Im really disappointed in quality..

Yours is in way better shape than mine was/is! If it's a 69 you have IRS rear suspension and 1915cc is a good size engine shouldn't be too hard on the tranny. You can do it, mine came with the windscreen cut into the body! The folks on this site are great and there is a huge amount of hard earned knowledge archived here, best is to search the site then ask if you need to. Enjoy the journey, personally I'd rather drive it than work on it, but its all fun.

Welcome to the Midwest Madness!  Special Edition, builders of Becks, are in Bremen, IN, near South Bend.  Carey Hines is most helpful & a good source of parts.  Not many gatherings here, but "Corn Daze" in June & I'm trying to get some interest for the James Dean museum in Indiana in September.  Of course, the biggest of all is Carlisle, PA in May.  Looking forward to meeting you.

Thanks guys. I love working on projects. almost as much as driving them. I checked it, I'm less then 2 hours away from Beck. Im going to give them a call tomorrow cause i need some parts hopefully they can help me out regardless of the fact that its a fiberfab kit. I grew up with this car in the garage, itll be nice finishing it and being able to actually drive it after 24 years of looking at it. haha
