It is with humility that "La Bomba" was profiled in the October 08 issue. A friend of mine called who knows what I went through to get this thing built. I want to thank Intermeccanica, Henry and the crew, for keeping the faith. I have close to 4k miles with only some minor teething issues that Henry has addressed admirably. Now I have to run out and get an issue, maybe several. Its cool to have your ride profiled. Happy motoring!!!!!

From our experience with him at Carlisle, Matt's a pretty cool young man.....you should be proud!

My copy of KKB is lost in space, somewhere between Beaufort and Grafton as both ends try to catch up with mail hold and forwarding changes on both ends as we swap locations, yet again. I should probably see it next month or so.

Unlike Lane, I have no butt bronzing to look forward to, as I never had the opportunity to allow my butt cheeks to grace Howard's Roadster's seats. I will say, that it has a pretty cool exhaust note when it's taking off....

I did, however, park next to it at one time in Carlisle, although I think I was in the Truck at the time and I doubt if the truck would look all that good bronzed....
Thanks for all the kind words. Matt and I will be there next year for sure. I would like to make a small but significant correction to the article. I had the motor Dynoed at a local Porsche shop. At 6250 rpm, Rear wheel HP was 202hp. The Steve Wong chip allows the redline to increase to 6750. I gave Steve the readout of Fuel/O2 mixture and its running somewhat rich at high RPM. He's remapping a new custom chip which should squeeze out another 7-10hp. I should be at around 220 at the rear wheel. Not the 210 at the flywheel that the article suggested. Flywheel HP should be around 250. I just NEEDED the world to know that!! At 2250 lbs, its truly a ROCKET!!!!!
