You got it right, John. That's Lou's "photo shoot drive-by" when we were parked at the overlook. Here's a shot with Tom driving, and a side shot when we were at lunch.

Thanx to all regarding the article. All of the photography for this piece was shot my myself & one of my shooters, Randy Gentry. The locations were my driveway & US 23 between Erwin, TN & Asheville, NC.

The color is Mexico Blue, which was an OEM color for early 911's in '73 & '74. It is very close to Chrysler's Basin Street Blue from the same era, that was adopted by one Richard Petty for his race cars.

To be very specific, the director of Corporate Communications at DuPont Automotive, whom I have worked for 19 years photographing Mr Gordon, provided me with the Mexico Blue formula, which I passed along to Henry Reisner. Then Henry & I reviewed paint out chips before painting the car.

Now that GM is offering all of its models at employee prices, that cost drops by about ten grand! A Z06 for $62,653? Yes please...
