Here's the write up the event received in Kit Car Magazine. You can see the photos but the words are almost unreadable.

I'd be happy to email the article which IS readable when printed if anyone wants it.

Congrats to Jim Young who wrote the article. Nice words for Dusty too: "Dusty Johnson and his cohorts are to be congratulated for a well-run, laid-back event. Dusty's efforts might be in demand for Speedster events at other locations around the country".

There are some great photos too; Dusty & Ginny, John Steele and group shots of the cars.

It truly was a blast!

Jack, I just got back from a vacation with my son.
Thanks for the mail; completely unexpected, but absolutely appreciated!

Sorry fo the "Hi, Jack," hijack ... But your e-mail address on the profile here is still jandjcrosby AT aol.com.

What are the odds of the Carlisle article getting scanned? Apparently, my subsciption ended!
Mike--I called Jim Young, Editor and subscribed and requested this issue which he sent. If I weren't into the madness already and saw this issue I'd be a Speedster convert in a second.

His article shows the fun that is on tap an a gathering like Morro bay. Gotta love it.

Cory--you are welcome. Least I could do.

The email address is ok; aandjcrosby at aol.com I think you had it transposed.
Guess who is going to install the linkage kit? --Jake Raby himself!

Alice and I are going to drive the Speedster over to Charlotte and on the way back home to Hot Springs we will go through Cleveland, GA.

Jake agreed to install the linkage kit if I wiuld let him run the Speedster with the Type IV engine on his dyno for some data logging, which I quickly agreed to. Such a deal!

Life is good.
Danny--this detour coming back from Charlotte trip is all YOUR FAULT for telling me the advantages of Heim joints in the carb linkage when we were at Carlisle.

Anyway it'll be fun to visit with Jake plus having the linkage improved with Gordo's nice kit. The side trip will add only a couple hundred miles to my trip.

Yup, I'll tell him hello for you. And that the monster engine he built for your Spyder is still running scarey strong!
Good! This linkage upgrade is the second best thing I did to mine, linkage has stayed perfectly in sync for 15000 miles now, just turned 18K. First best thing was the crank-fire ignition, but you don't need to go there, your car runs great. Leave it alone after you do the heims, you'll like it.
