Klasse side trim

I ordered side trim from Klasse and the pieces behind the door handles are about 1/2" too short. Our cars must differ from original Speedsters here.

Has anyone else dealt with this situation?

Mike, the length of this (specific) original part is often too short for use on most replicas. I found out when I ordered a Stoddard set for my Intermeccanica. I left the IM parts on because they match rather well with the thickness of the original molding. Why replica's differ I don't know.

I had the same question. They differ because a different latch is used that takes up more space inside the door.

To make it work they had to move the handle forward. I cant confirm it but I think most replica's use a bug convertable latch.

If they moved the handle forward it seems like the piece in front of the handle would be too long. It looks ok. Maybe the door is 1/2" longer.

You got me there, The the only thing left is the rear of the door is shorter. I was realy hoping some one would confirm and identify the latch.
