Hi Ron,
Yes, I was there but came and went twice so never parked in the same spot. The 58 Cab belongs to a friend of mine here in Chilliwack. Owned the car for over 25 years and just got in back on the road after total restoration. Actually I took his carbs down to P.O. Campout in McMinnville 2 weeks ago and delivered them, by arrangement, to a carb guy from S.F. who drove up in his C coupe. Believe it or not, but the guy went home on Sunday, called my buddy on Monday with some details, then UPS'd them that afternoon to Sumas Wa. where they got picked up, back on the car and Dave tweaked them on that Friday! One week after I had dropped them off in McMinnville! Is that service or what?
Now that it's running good, we're planning a trip down to Bothell on July 18th for the annual 356 Group Northwest "Bull Session" Check it out at www.356groupnw.org
But I digress, Ron would you like to buy a poster? I'll even deliver it up the mountain........for a beer, eh?
Rick
Rick, I'll try and do that this summer, and show you my new toy (one last test drive and then I decide). The password I use on the forums, ebay etc., is the name of my now departed, much missed and loved Rottweiler. People who think that pets are just pets wouldn't understand, and really, there is no explaining it. You either have a special love for them, or you don't.
Ron
I should explain a bit further on this "Norman" business. Actually, the name is our company name, which came from it's founder in 1948, one Norman Williams. We kept the name when we bought it in 1988 and as years went by and lots of new clients, the questions flowed.....who's Norman? So when we acquired a new cat we thought what the heck! Therefore when someone calls and asks for Norman.....we bite our tongue, almost hand the phone to the cat but tell them he's retired to the golf links of Chilliwack, which is true. That said, we know where you guys are coming from when it comes to pet attachment, but "Norman" wears two hats at our studio.
Ron, just 'cause you now know the story doesn't mean you can't still drop over for a cold one. Give me a call anytime.
Meantime, don't forget to support the site and buy a poster to keep the Speedster blood flowing during quiet moments.
Rick
