Alan and all,

His name is Michael, he was there with his father John. The car is a colaboration between Michael and his wife, an architect. He the mechanical and she the aesthetic - colors influenced by L. Vuitton, how 'bout that. Unbeleivable - L. Vitton logo foot rest for the lady.

I talked to him about his preparation and planning, including his visits to the studios of Kirk and John. He practices a fllawless and creative process, totally his own, thus something special.

It appears to me this speedster is HIGHLY individualized. Tastey to my eye, and I think he made some break-thru's, like the BRAKES! Look at the gauges - he removed the chrome and is running nickel patina, not just the instruments, he did the head and tail light rims, any thing else that was chromie. He also buffed the aluminium with emory cloth for a "matte" look.

It's kind of a natural Titanium look, metal of the moment, very contemorary.

Oh ya, those pipes are part of the turbos, he claims 300 HP. OK - hmmm power to weight ratio...

Knotts was cool - period.

John,

What a nice picture story of the Knotts event. WOW!

You got everything, except yourself so I'm going to post a couple.

Oh ya, and the L.A. guy you missed, all B&W with white flames on his shoes. His girlfriend matched - kinda.

Yes, I know you didn't get a shot of me, but what can I say... maybe I like the shot of you and Theron better than the one I posted before.

Just kidding!

John, thanks for the Pic's....It was truly a great day....
I didn't get shot, Knifed or even beaten from any of the guys for all my antics on this great site.....and I gotta tell you I could use a good beating.....
I would like to thank all the members who showed up, I feel like I'm part of a big family....there I go getting all weepy eyed.....

Special thanks to Mike M for the OBAN and for doing all the work...
Really sorry to hear about your tub....

I hope you East Coasters have half the amount of fun that we had...
No really, Just half the fun, would hate for you guys to have a better time....

Till next year......
My sincere apologies to Michael Beaucage...and to anyone else at Knotts this weekend whose picture I didn't get. I tried to shoot every Speedster there. Then, I worked on getting the owner's pics, too. I'm confident that Michael (a pro photo guy) has many more pics than I took. And I'm betting that Joel Schlotz (another former pro photographer) got pictures of almost everyone. And don't forget super-shooter Rick Davis. More to come.

Many thanks Mr. Leader for the beautiful pics of everyone's cars. I hope you don't mind that I added several to my photo files. I enjoyed seeing everyone again this year. Mr. Ward, I wish you a safe trip home in your awesome new ride. BTW, it's all your and Dale's fault that I made it such an expensive weekend. You better make sure that Henry tips you well. Mike thanks for your outstanding effort at putting on a successful rendesvous. Thanks to everyone for the sincere congratulations that I received.

Hey John and all, thanks for the great pics! We just arrived back at the "ranch" and with all the nasty business details that build up while away for 2 weeks, I won't get to editing , captioning and posting my pics until next week. Had a great time with everyone at Knotts and added another 3600 vacation miles to the odometer. Let the summer begin!
Rick
Joel Schlotz sent me 68 more pictures from Knotts, including some from the Friday night Outback Steakfest! I've added them to the webpage, which will now show you 204 pictures from Knotts Replica Rendezvous 2. If you've got a dial-up connection, get a cold beverage, maybe a bag of chips, and come back in ten minutes after they've all loaded (whew!). Enjoy.
