Now that I think about it...no one has used the pavillions out behind our parking area for 2 years now. Maybe something over there?

Just what I was thinking. Everyone already brings chairs and we could use the tables from our tent. Only issue is the cooker - whether or not to cater it.
I looked into this one year (it fell through) but the Carlisle event staff is more then happy to do something like this, either with their list of caterers or anyone else we choose.
Having it in one of the pavilions would be great - Carlisle can supply tables and chairs and whatever else we want to contract for with them. Especially for their largest kit group for the past ten years (even though the Kit Car show is the smallest of the season).
This all sounds worth looking into.

Damn. Sounds like I actually posted a good idea for a change!
Bill's idea to ask for one of the pavillions is a great idea. Keeps us out of the sun/rain/snow/sleet or what ever else the Carlisle gods throw at us!
Heck instead of just for dinner, let's ask Carlisle to give us the pavillion for the entire weekend if they don't have that space rented out. We'd save 'em the tent rental money!
That's not an option on the Chrysler weekend. After a few years of moving my Mopar club around, we and Carlisle have settled on space at the top o' the hill. Works out great, especially since we do our own cooking. Keeps the grills and turkey fryers away from the show cars.

Thank you to Bruce,Norma,Alan and everyone else who planned this years Carlisle. Everyone made my wife Barbara and myself feel very welcome .We met alot of nice people but not everyone so we will come back next
year. The motel and parking was excellent and the restaurant arrangements were fine.
My favorite events were the Covered Bridge Tour and the Raffle. The scenery and roads were awesome and the entertainment by Danny and Cory kept us amused. I won a nice book on Porsche history that I had my eye on so next year I will have to donate something interesting.
We did over 700 trouble free miles averaging 30mpg hiway and 25 around town. Not to leave well enough alone I want more power so after I pick you guy's brains that will be my winter project.

Vinny-you seemed like a nice guy at Carlisle. Becareful or you will ruin your reputation.

Joel, I am sarcastic by nature, I don't know what came over me in Carlisle, I guess I was just overwhelmed by all of you, so now I need to make amends and revert back to my nasty self....
I am from Brooklyn after all....

Speaking of....how was Brooklyn, Vincenzo???
13.00 to cross the bridge from Staten Island where I was born,
Coney Island where I hung out as a kid, a real Eye opener for Teri..
Actually hasn't changed much, like going back in time...I loved the visit, but feel real spoiled living in So.Cal.
Visiting the cousins was a trip, typical Italians..forgetaboutit

Now costs $60.00 to cross over in Staten Island with a big truck and that folks sucks
Glad you had a good trip! Someone was telling me about those crazy tolls just the other day.
