Back from a wild week in L.A. following the B-J auction in Scottsdale. Posted more photos under (rdavis) This weekend started with shop tours Thursday & Friday, Crystal Cove at 06:30 on Saturday (better turnout than on a Sunday, right Dale?) then up to LAX for the Porsche lit/toy meet at the Hilton followed by Sunday's all Euro Swap (aka Dunkels) in Long Beach. This is a must do weekend for all car nuts! Enjoy the pics.

Yes Bruce, the Crystal Cove gathering is an eclectic group of car enthusiasts that meet every Saturday morning at an outdoor mall on PCH between Newport Beach and Laguna Beach. They file in at 07:00 and it's over by 08:30 so a great way to kick off the day.
No, I kept my wallet closed at the B-J Auction. Prices were somewhat better across the freeway at the Russo-Steele auction but still "up there" especially after Canadian exchange! I had just bought a '71 911T before the trip so I'm at full car inventory right now.

Rick, thanks for the Pics. I never get tired of looking at Dr. Vince either.... I mean his cars.

The shop tours sound like a highlight to me. Let's see that 911T!! And the pics of the steel outlaw speedy were teasers. Was it as sano as it appears in the pictures?

Jim
See ya soon. I'll send my dates/times up to you, Brooks, the local gang, and also Scott if he thinks he can play hooky for a day. I'm staying down by the airport, but have a rental in the package.
Jim, the 911T has bumpers off getting painted and I'm polishing the badly faded and oxidized paint but it's looking better. Picked up some replacement rubber stuff to re-install the bumpers. I'm the 4th owner of this original California car that came north of the 49th in 1988. Previous mature owners kept every bit of documentation from the original window sticker and all service to date which is a real bonus. I'll post some pics when I get it back together.
Yes, that Silver steel Speedster Outlaw was as sano as it looks in the photos. Some serious attention the the Type IV as well. Might see it back there in April, never know.
Looking forward to your trip up this way. Saw Dale with John in L.A. but no camera on hand at the time. Got a couple pics of the "Doctor" and David as you've seen. Camera still works too! (just kidding Vince!)
See you soon.
