LA Oil issues

For what it is worth BP is try to keep their gas prices down. I'm in Houston right now. We did a fly over our OS Platforms in the gulf . They are intact. Here is a picture of one the refineries in the Venice,LA which is about 15 miles south of New Orleans.

Exxon is still selling gas in Baton Rouge for $2.45 a gal. as of 9/1/05.

Most of our stations have been selling, as of yesterday, for 2.999, but yesterday afternoon, the BP in Lenoir City hiked up to 3.099 and I heard that the stations near the expressway, I-75, had jumped up to 3.209. What the hell is going on??? East Tennessee has historically been on the low end of gas prices. I smell conspiracy.

John, Question, My wife and I are going to Alexandria,Va. (home town) from Baton Rouge on 9/2/05. What is the gas situation like on I24, I75, I40 and I81? Would you happen to know. Thanks, Tom

TJ, as always, the stations that are close to the interstate are higher than those farther away, sometimes as little as half a mile, but less convenient. How often do we, myself included, stop to refuel at the first group of stations that we see when making a gas stop?

I can't speak with authority regarding most of the "I" routes you mentioned, but as I stated elsewhere, the brand names were running over three dollars in Lenoir City, an I-75 exit. I suggest you check out the link in the previous post. Have a safe trip.

Here in Milwaukee, half a country away I just saw a sign advertising premium for $3.95. They'll have to order more 4's pretty soon.
