In past years this event was held in January, I guess maybe they changed it because of weather....
This weekend in the Cove....
As usual I will be Judging the concours on Sunday, But on Saturday there will be road rally through Sandy Eggo, several stops along the way, lunch served for those who pre-registered...Meeting at the Auto museum in Balboa park 8:30.....Lot should be full of very cool cars..
Teri and I will be in the T-Bird for the day....

Oh yeah, one of those ones where you pull up to the curb & the front opens so you can step out. I missed the no side doors, was too busy lookin at daJudge.

The Rally today was more fun than i deserve...pictures will follow, but one thing i need to mention is that the guy of the hour or "master of ceremonies' for todays event was Keith Martin
who has an auto magazine and a TV show "what's my car worth"
I'm sure some of you have seen it...anyway, spent some time with him, pretty cool character...will report more when I get back home...

i like keith martin, he is pretty much a straight shooter. He got fired from Barrett/Jackson last year for expressing his "opinion".
i still respect his word and think BJ may be getting too high and almighty. most of their cars are priced out of my league so i enjoy watching Mecum even though it can be a circus at a time.

Just got back home...Wow, what a weekend...
T-Bird didn't miss a beat once again....

La Valencia is a great hotel, you see the view from my room, The random wedding pic's were also shot from my room...

We went to two private car collections on the tour, Teri and I will attempt to contact the owners and see if we can make a run with the SOC for the two of them some Saturday or sunday this summer.....
