Perhaps we will have better luck with this one than the Hotel Del...

I was a member of the Porsche Club of America (PCA) and Porsche Owners Club (POC) for more than 25 years - these SOC folks are WAAAYYYY MORE FUN (and WAY MORE down-to-earth)!!! If you get the chance to meet this SoCal group, I am sure you'll feel the same way.

More than likely there will be at least one empty right-seat that may be available for a passenger or picnic lunch! Either way, by that time you'll probably be ready to escape the heat of Temecula Valley area.

Is it too early to throw out some rendevous locations for SOC'ers hooking-up for this year's Arrowhead Run? This is assuming that the cruise will begin at the Chevron station off the 138 Hwy (Wrightwood/Silverwood Lake exit).

I Haven't looked at a map yet, but I guess we will use the same route as last year...so by all means make whatever plans you think will accomodate everyone. I will be leaving from Redondo Beach and anyone in that vicinity can join me at the Starbucks intersection of Artesia/Hawthorne Blvd, lets say 8:30 AM......

Didn"t care so much with the speedster, Kirk fixed me up each spring with a facelift...He claims the Ivory is the easirst to touch up...
The Ghia is another story...Can't match the paint as well, so I think I need to try and be more careful...

It's about 4500-5000 ft. You were probably looking at Chamber of Commerce pic's, they always make it look inviting...
We do Solvang and vicinity to the north...Hotel Del and Vicinity to the South and Arrowhead to the East.... Our cars are not water tight, so we ignore the West except for cruises along PCH
I'm sure no matter where you live there are area's to cruise to that are just as scenic......

Hey guys! I remember this run. I wish I still had the speedster. Vince it's nice to see you keeping the runs going man. All is well here just finished the great room now it's time to have a party.

Neither of us are speedster owners at the moment, but that does not mean we can't join in on the fun......
The 138 intersects the 15 somewhere on the other side of Fontana I believe, and at that intersection is the Chevron station. I saw it just last week on the way to Victorville.....
Open a damn map, you can't miss it....
I'm thinking the best way for south bay/valley cars is the 210 to the 15, so I am thinking for the ones that meet in the south bay its going to be something like this....
405N/105E/605N/210E/15N/138E...and on to Arrowhead
Orange county and Sandy Eggo cars chime in here where can we meet up.
perhaps somewhere around the 605/5 intersection...or 605/60 intersection.......I could also be talked into using the 91 to the 15 if that is prefered by the masses

I just opened a map and it appears the straighest shot from the South Bay is the 91, which will also work for meeting up with the OC cars....So figure meeting along the 91 somewhere convenient then we branch off onto the 15 from the 91......after that it is a small ride to the 138.....
I am still having electrical problems, and could easily be towed home from anywhere along the route....But I will be there one way or the other...
