Stephan;

On the Google link you've attached, the Chevron is 1 of the 2 buildings you see on Wagon Train Road just south of the Hwy 138 exit. The other is a McDonald's. Both Chevron/McDonald's are visible about 1 mile before you approach the Hwy 138 exit (exit #131).

I don't have the address for you to input on your GPS but try entering 'Exit #131' on the 15 Fwy as the destination.

or...

input intersection destination as Hwy 138 /Hwy 15.
RE: OC SOCer's -

With all things considered (your location, routing and traffic considerations) the easiest thing to do would be for everyone to just meet at the Chevron station at I-15/Hwy 138 junction at the designated time.

That way, everyone can figure their own travel time to that single rendevous location without having to get up at some crazy hour in the morning. As a matter of some reference (and depending on traffic conditions), drive time from the junction of 91/215(15) Fwys to Hwy 138 is approximately 30/40 minutes. From the junction of 210/215(15) Fwys to Hwy 138 is approximately 20/25 minutes.
Vince - Roger That on the group caravan to 138!

How 'bout the OC folks (or vicinity of...) meet off the 91 Fwy (West-bound) at the Wier Canyon exit (Anaheim Hills/Yorba Linda). There is a big Shell gas station just (visible) off the North side of the freeway as you approach this exit. This could be the first stop for the 'Poker Run'.

We can meet there and wait for the South Bay/Valley contingent to hook up as they approach. Then we can all caravan to the 138 Hwy exit and terrorize the mountain roads up to Arrowhead Lake.

Stephan, do you have anyplace in mind along the 15 (North of the 91 Fwy) that we can hook up with you on the way to Hwy 138?

We're looking forward to another fun cruise with our SOC friends...
Stephan / Larry Bull - As you travel north on I-15, there is a Chevron station on the Sixth St. exit (4 miles north of the 91 Fwy). The station is just East of the Fwy (turn right, to cross of Sixth St/Sierra). This could be our 2nd stop for the 'Poker Run'.

Gerd - as you junction off the 210 Fwy onto the I-15 north, there is a Jack-In-The-Box on the Sierra Ave exit (4 miles north of 210/I-15 junction). The Jack-In-The-Box is just north of the Fwy (turn left off exit to Gas/Food stop). This could be the 3rd stop for our 'Poker Run'.

I will PM Vince and figure out rendevous times for all these stops.

The Chevron at the I-15/138 could be our 4th 'Poker Run' stop (and pit stop). Then on to Arrowhead for lunch and 5th card issued for 'Poker Run'. Donations for 'Poker Run' prizes are welcome!

Looking forward to another fun SOC cruise!!

I was reading an article in the Daily Breeze (local paper) today that stated Hiway 138 was closed due to road widening.....I do not know where the detour starts or ends, but apparently the detour takes you half an hour out of your way. The road may also be less than desireable in some area's due to the construction.
Do we have an alternate route or any suggestions who to contact to get further details....this run is next Saturday....
All

according to the North County Time a portion of SR138 is closed until the construction is finished in the Fall. Apparently the "locals" were shooting the road crews with BB guns, throwing burritos and making rude comments regarding the crews ancestry. The news story said the detour is about an extra half hour, depending on traffic.

I checked the California DOT site and they just say its closed with a detour.

I'll check my road atlas for alternates.

No bb guns or burritos on the run OK... well maybe burritos. they would n't last long in my car anyway.

Larry

OK, so I decide to take the little woman out for brunch in the Ghia yesterday and get 1 block away from the house and no Juice......
Ended up pushing it back into the garage......
You guys don't know how lucky you are having cars that are not 50 years old with mostly original wiring, except of course mine has been converted to 12 volts......
It is entirely possible that the ghia will not be going to Arrowhead this weekend.....or should I say probable...
I need to find out what is causing this problem.....
I may end up taking my Supra, still fun to drive with the Targa top down, but not quite the same as either a speedster or the Ghia....
Good Call Jimbo.. why not start a new tread for the count?

Vince, Redondo! isn't that considered "South Dog-Town" "PLUS I love the fact that you were steering.. I got a visual of you "Sitting" in the Ghia while your sweet gals were huffing and puffing you up that drive way! LMAO... Hope you cure the electrical problem...

NOTE: Dog-Town for you common folk... is the nic-name for Venice Beach.....

Speedster "D"
I have an electrical gremlin too; everything goes haywire when I turn on the headlights (gauge lights don't work, tach freezes, signal and high-beam indicators stay on, [they blink off instead of on if I use signals or high beams], oil pressure gauge maxes out, oil temp reads 20 degrees high).

I'm still going though, just rather stay off the road after dark 'till I figure this one out.
