Hey Vince!

I'd like to start the discussion for meeting on this Saturday's Arrowhead cruise by suggesting;

SOC'ers coming from the Valley or north LA area can take the Foothill Fwy (210 Fwy) east to the I-15 junction then north to hook up with the caravan at the Lytle Creek/Sierra Ave exit (there's a gas station, Jack-in-the-Box and a few other restaurants at the north side of that exit). Lytle Creek/Sierra Ave is the exit just before Glen Helen Regional Park (at the 215/I-15 junction).

We should be able to gather the entire group (pit stop) at that location and then head up the I-15 to 215 to the 138 exit (Wrightwood/Silverwood/Arrowhead).

Estimated travel time from South Bay/Redondo/Valley area via 210 or 91 Fwys to I-15/Lytle Creek-Sierra Ave exit approximately 1.5-1.75 hrs.

Estimated travel time from OC area via 91 Fwy to I-15/Lytle Creek-Sierra Ave exit approximately 1.25 hrs.

In light of these estimated travel times, a suggestion for meeting time at Lytle Creek 09:30-10:00 (for those unable to get up at the crack of dawn). Those in close proximity to others in their area can make arrangements to caravan to the Lytle Creek/Sierra Ave meeting spot.

I will send an e-mail with my cell phone number to those who will be joining this Arrowhead group!

That's my 2-cents. Looking forward to seeing other SOC'ers.
Jim,

I'm surprised. This group is pretty vocal, maybe it's just the three of us going, for sure. I thought they would have all chimed in over the weekend. Oh well, looking forward to seeing you and Ginny again. I'll try to hook up with MR356 on Saturday morning.

Curt

Oh, I see Roger just posted. See you too, Roger.
Hey Roger!

If you're coming from Lancaster, no sense in back-tracking to Lytle Creek. You could probably just take Palmdale/Pearblossom (Hwy 138) to the I-15 and wait for us on the east-side of the highway overpass (in direction of Silverwood Lake).

I'm guessing the group should be approaching that exit at about 10:30 A.M.

Hope you're staying cool in that desert heat, my brutha - see ya Saturday morning!

Here's a teaser from the Carbon Canyon cruise a couple of weeks ago!

P.S. - I'll e-mail you my cell number!
Hey Rog, et all;

Staying on the 138 towards Silverwood Lake and eventually Arrowhead Lake would allow us to avoid going through scenic San Bernardino and the knuckleheads who insist on racing up Hwy 18 (Rim of the World Hwy). Hwy 138 joins Hwy 18 (Crestline area) for 2-3 miles before the 189 junction which will take us right into Arrowhead.

This route should allow us to enjoy the scenery at a leisurely (or speed appropriate pace) without some maroons tail-gating us all the way up the mountain!

Looking forward to a day of Speedster cruising!
Bad news.....my great aunt passed away last week, and we have been waiting to hear when the services will be, unfortunately they are Saturday at 3 pm in the Valley. Sorry to say we can't join you. I am so bummed, I was really looking forward to this run. It just shows that best laid plans don't always pan out. I hope you all have a great time.

Hey Vince!

If the group that has committed to this cruise remains the same 5 cars by tomorow night (Friday), then Joe L and I will meet you along the 91 Fwy (instead of Lytle Creek). I suggest the Green River exit off the 91 (in Anaheim). It's the exit after Gypsum Canyon. There is a Chevron station on the north side of the fwy (Turn left after exiting on Green River). We should be at that Green River rendevous around 8:45-9:00 a.m.. That should be close to the time you and Curt get to that point.

Then we will proceed up 91/15/138 Wrightwood/Silverwood exit where we will hook up with Roger.

Let me know if this sounds OK!

Later!
Hey Rob, My SB Brutha!

Dude you rule with that front plate! Bummer about missing the Arrowhead cruise. I guess I'll have to tip a Corona (or 5) for you as well.

After tipping Corona's for Speedster "D", FlowerGirl, and now you, I'll be pretty f****d up by noon! I guess my wife will have to drive us back down the mountain - oh GREAT, now I'll have to bring Quaaludes too!

I'll be sure to post pics and video clips to torment you!!

PEACE - OUT!!
Hey Dan!

That's great! Now the rest of us will look like the red-headed step children next to your most excellent white-walled beauty!

Unless there are major changes by tomorrow night, Joe L. and I are going to rendevous with Vince & Curt at the Green River exit (Chevron station) around 9:00-9:15 a.m. - then join up with Roger at the I-5/138 junction (Wrightwood/Silverwood exit)

Unless you just want to join us at Green River (I realize you'd be back-tracking) give us a location and time that you'd prefer.
I will PM my cell number to you.

Glad you're making the trip - it'll beat staying at home working on the honey-do list!
Jim/Vince/Speedster"D" and all my Speedsters Bro's / Bro-ette's

I am very bummed that I still haven't got to play with you yet... However, Summer is here and the days are long! I am a professionl guitar player and it's my season to work with all the festivals and concerts/Weddings/summer-partys. With that said,I just want you guys to know that I am not a "FLAKE"!!! I love to drive my car every chance I get! So play hard drive "fast and ferrous"... Oyeah save some Corona's for me next time! P.S. don't forget the lime. The rotn-one.
