So after almost passing on the Palomar mountain cruise, because my engine was sputtering and missing, Larry Jowdy saved the day.
I thought the worst when my number 3 cylinder didn't seem to be firing and Larry suggested cleaning out the idle jets on my Weber 40s. Sure enough, that fixed the sputtering/missing problem.
However, I originally had contacted Larry about an ideling problem I have had since I had my Webers installed about 3 years ago. I took my car to Larry Friday morning and he took one look and saw the problem. My linkage was too tight and would bind when the engine got hot. He made the linkage adjustments, adjusted the carbs, set the timing and I was on my way in about an hour.
It's so nice to be able to drive my car without having to keep tapping the gas pedal to keep it from stalling at every stop. Thank you Larry!
