Question for the mechanically inclined out there...I have a low mileage CB Performance
2332 alum. block that up to now has been relatively trouble free.

Recently, its started leaking oil on the right hand side of the engine. Not really noticable when driving day to day but if the car sits for a couple of days lets just say the wife aint't too happy with the oil puddle in the garage.

From the top down, I cannot see where the oil is coming from and can't really wiggle under the car so I need to get it to the shop and up on the hoist.

I have been told recently that these blocks are known to be somewhat leaky but I find that hard to believe.

Any comments?

Depending on your oil filter's placement, you might check that first. With a bigger engine, a lighter-duty filter might be leaking from the base of the canister. You said 'right' side, so that may not be the right tree to bark up, but I'd start there.
I can't imagine those guys would overlook that, but there's not a whole lot of mileage/driving habit info in your post.
If/when you take the engine out, you'll want to check the studs holding your heads and cylinders, too, to see if maybe they're backing out on that side. Stranger things have happened.
Depending on what kind of tins you have in your cooling system, there may be four exposed lower studs and four on the top halves of each side; a total of 16, eight of which you can see and get to easily. Gotta check them all.
