Leather auto bra and who's do you use.

They are usually made of vinyl with a soft felt backing - not leather (more pleather). Car must be clean - no dirt or grit on it. If they flap they will abrade the paint. Must be removed if water gets behind (of course it never rains on Carlisle).

have the "clear bra" film installed and never worry again. Sure it is more expensive but worth every penny. I have it on many cars and culdn't be happier.

If you go with the removeable bra, check out Wardlow Custon Bras. They make custome fitted ones for street rods, and have also made several for SOC members, including me. See picture below. It's a three-piece set up with one for the main body, one for the bumper, and one for the forward part of the hood, er, trunk, um, whatever the front thing is.

while i like where you went mike, and i do appreciate the plastic cars we drive - those plastic boobies are not for me. lol

You don't have to remove the Colgan bra to get in the trunk, just unclip the top clips from either side in the wheel wells and you can easily fold the bra down and get into the trunk no problem. 5 seconds top.

Bra 's are not for cars .Let's face it our cars are fake and are to cool to cover up .I know guys with real speedsters and they dont use bra's ,and the drive the crap out of them. Bugs ,Paint chips,Road grime add to a cars character. And shows you are using your. Get over it. NO BRA'S on Cars .Just my opinion

Gotta disagree sort of, Pete. I use mine when I travel to slow the aging process a bit. I still get plenty of road rash on the front just driving around Charleston - the least paint-friendly city I've ever seen.

I'm in the market for a used bra if anyone has one. Don't really care how beat up it is. I'll only use it for flat towing speedy behind my truck, whose tires would make a good practice pitching machine for up-coming baseball players!

Your questiion must be a joke....the clear bra is CLEAR!! You cannot see it in a picture. It is really that clear. It is a film that is applied and has a bit of a rubbery texture. I have it on Porsches, Ferraris and Corvettes (also my Lotus) and it is definitely the best!

For those with the clear bras( especially in CA,CO,FL and AZ), have you noticed any fading from UV rays? How long have you had them on?

Yes, 3M. There are two others Venture Shield is one cant remember the other. He used a kit they make for a 356C from 1960s and modified from there.
