I never liked the color of my IM. The light tan interor is just not me.
So after $150 of auto leather dye, a week of dis and assembly , and doing it in sections.... here it is.

AMAZING JOB: how did you get the PIPING a different color? Did you need to remove the leather or is it done ON the frames?? Separate and RESEW?
AND DASH also? wow.....is that BORDEAUX?
That is beautiful work!
Good work Carlos, nice job keeping the piping the original colour that takes precision. but then we should mention that Carlos is already a craftsman for other projects
I thought of wine red but then I thought of fading and I opted for Taupe in my car.
I did it in sections and masked the piping. That is why it took all week. In the spots where it bled, I was able to scrub with denatured alcohol and a q tip, then retouch up with a fine artist brush. I don't know what "bordeaux" is. If you are asking about the color it is an Audi color called Tuscan Brown. I matched it to my old Porsche key fob.
Bordeau is obviously french and it is refers to wine colour essentially. At least that is what we mean when we use it in that language But you guys new that all along
I of course knew that Ray. But it does not apply to these photos, since they are brown and not a wine color. So asking Bonzai what he meant and trying to be helpful.
Oh, sorry I see it now. Yep it does look a bit winey in these photos. Nope , it is a baseball glove brown.
The pics do look kind reddish, but that could be due to the camera, the display, the file, etc. Either way, nice work.

It looks very similar(altho I'm color blind) to my interior color, BORDEAUX which is a RED of some sort...close?
Carlos,
Good timing on this post. I think I am having a coupe built (why am I laughing?) and was at the interior color part. The exterior would be one of many gray colors. I originally liked the light tan but when I considered the whole car and other factors, it really is a bit too showy and in your face (IMHO). I got to see a beautifully done 1927 (blue exterior and light tan interior) and a 57 Nomad (crème and blue with tan interior). Both looked fantastic if you were only looking at the interior or exterior by themselves. Like your original theme, it just didn't hit me either. I decided on the same theme as you but without the piping. To me, this medium dark brown (with a hint of red) is like an "old vintage" should be. It looks aged but not used. It goes well with just about every color. It will not show dark as much. I am just impressed how well your efforts paid off. Much better than a re-upholstery, eh? Good job. Much better looking car. Thanks for sharing.
