leather seat repair

i have older leather seats and there is a small (1/2") tear on one of the joints where two pieces come together. is there a flexible glue that will halt the further expansion. not too concerned on looks as long as it stops the tear.

That sounds like a glue that hasn't been invented yet.

But TC says GOOP works for everything...

Yes there is, Bob. I can't recall the name of it, but I got it at a craft supply store that sold the Tandy leather tooling products. It was white when it came out of the tube and dried clear.

Depending on where the tear is, you may have to put a piece of leather rough side to rough side, beneath the tear to support it.
