We now offer Phosphor Based SMD Headlights for 12V cars as well as 6-Volt cars. Providing both low and high beam, they produce twice the light of an H4 in a brilliant white light. These are NOT conventional LED's but Phosphor based SMD using the latest technology. They are not sensitive to changes in voltage as RPM increases and decreases and draw one fifth the current of a regular bulb or H4 halogen lamp! They produce no heat, operate at room temperature and have a working life of 24,000 hours. We include the high quality reflectors as shown with a factory style pigtail so they simply "plug and play". Literally as simple as changing a lamp. No relays needed. saves your charging system, relays, switches from premature failure due to the high current draw of conventional lighting.

I have two sets of these which I purchased from Classico Steering Wheels for $279. I believe the same lights work for 6v and 12v, can do low and high beams. They fit into existing sealed beam light buckets, so they are truly plug and play for Porsche 356s.

A few fellows tested them at the North Meets South Porsche 356 event in Cambria, CA just last month, and found that they didn't throw light as "deeply" as H4s in very did -- so visibility in rural places would likely not be as good. The Porsche 356 guys are after them because the draw is 20% less, and that is welcome news for an old electrical system.

Not sure what the difference is between the two sets they are selling at Stoddard. Further, the Vintage Car LED lights do look pretty much the same...
