If your a little handy the CU Layer lights will fit the reproduction lights. How do I know? That is what I used on the 60 Sunroof.

I am having a LED company do a 356-speedster tail light ( both as a unit and a drop in board) it should be ready in 6- 8 weeks ...target price should be half of the other supplier. ~Alan
Alan, how about an update on these?
I received an email last week from Todd at Technostalgia, they will be producing the 356 speedster LED tail lights in January.... I have an order in. From what I have seen the wait will be worth it in the quality, LED brightness and price to be announced. ~Alan
Let me guess, 6-8 weeks? Put me down.
how about beehives...is there an led that will fit
No bee hive LED at this time ( it's taken seven months to get their attention to make the 356 speedster tail lights. You might want to look at round LED tail lights on eBay maybe the pc board from one of them can be fitted into a beehive.
Something here may work for bee hives:

Until Alan's scheme came up I was thinking of using two of the round ones in my teardrop tail lights.

Has anyone found reasonably-priced beehive taillights? The suppliers are getting around $75 each....$300 for four is higher than I want to spend.
Update, Techtronics- emailed today to say they have delayed any new product development hence the speedster tailight is on hold until summer so they say~

I was about to buy the CU layer tail lights, but I found they are 2 wire as the original cars. Most replicas including VS use a 3 wire tail light. I have been bugging CU Layer to produce a version for the replica market.
I am interested in a set that will work with my VS. Alan maybe you could get a group buy going. They may speed up production if they have a number of paid orders waiting!

I dont no wot LED bulb u used to melt lenses but Im building a Pilgrim & Ive got original US speck rear lights & Ive put in amber LED & a red LED & the amber is so bright It lights up the red lense in amber to pass UK MOT also the bulbs dont get even warm.Got off ebay come from UK & HongKong.Ive put them also in the front indecator lights coz the lense is clear & the bulb is clear until its lit ,done the same with a third brake light inside top of rear grill the thin strip is 6 inch & tiny clear LED s until lit also with the grill being ally it lights the whole grill. In UK the inspections & testing each kit has to go through before going on the road are getting harder & side indecators have to be fitted ,so ive found a clear LED strip that will fit inside the waist line trim near the speedster sign.
