I've got a new 2015 Vintage Speedster. Most of me loves the car, that is except for my left leg. There's no place to put it. If I stretch it out it rests on the clutch pedal, if I bring it up it hits the wheel. Most cars have a flat to give support for the left foot. This doesn't. What to do to prevent a numb leg after a few miles?

Air-cooled Bruce made some CNC'd Foot Pegs. You might ask him if he has any left or try this foot pad from Sierra Madre
Either install a automotive dead pedal or a motorcycle buddy peg, both work well.
A simple google search will give you lot's of options and prices.
I had some extra aluminum diamond plate kicking around and made this one:
Wombat, I have the same problem on long drives. Either fabricate one for yourself, or buy one from Bruce. I'm in the process of fabricating one, If you end up fabricating one be careful that the dead pedal doesn't get in the way of your left foot when depressing the clutch pedal. As I'm sure you know, there isn't much room around the pedal assembly.
I just stretch my leg and rest it forward of the clutch pedal. But I do drive barefoot most of the time...
I still have some pegs left. They address the concern that Ron has by folding up out of the way when not needed. See photo below. They are $50.00 plus $7.00 for USPS priority Mail if your in the US.......Let me know..........Bruce

Looks good. How did you mount it? Can't get an idea of what is going on for the back side.
Masochists ballet slippers.

Nothing fancy back there (this is "Five Cent Racing", after all...)
I used a piece of 1-1/4" X 1-1/4" x 1/8" thick angle iron about 5 or 6" long - had THAT kicking around, too. Cut along the length at the bend for about 2"-3" and then bent those new tabs out at 90 degrees. When it's mounted to the sill (1/4-20 bolts threaded into the frame tube), one tab goes up (the top screw on the face) and one tab goes toward the clutch pedal (right side screw). Cut the off to the length you need. Width of the plate was trial-and-error, using my OluKai beach sandals (the widest tread I have) to make sure it was comfortable with the pedal. The mounting screws were Stainless flat-head machine screws - Most likely 10-32.
You don't need a lot of surface to be comfortable for your foot. One of Bruce's foot pegs should be just fine... It's classy, too.
Think about a replaceable pad for the place where the left side of your foot rides against the side of the footwell, too.

Same for me. Flip Flops most of the time for me down South. I just move my leg around now and then. A lot of times on the highway, I'll pull my knee right up and lean it to the left against a "cooler" which sits by the door.
I just installed Bruce's foot peg today. It's a work of art and it's very comfortable!
I have Bruce's installed and it is awesome. Folds up out of the way. I am tall and it works perfect and totally comfortable.
Thanks,
B
How good does that peg work with bare feet? just kidding it is nice work Bruce. Ray
