HRBB - Hot Rods By Boyd, is apparently what Chris Coddington has going. He is making wheels with a specific wheel for Porsche 911 and 356. Nothing as good looking as Marty's wheels on the site.
That black and white shot does look way cool, BUT, your P-logo center cap is not facing the correct direction. The horror!
I see some awesome 2020 calendar photos.
Knock-off knock offs! Good one! Also very great as the original Rudges were actually kinda heavy?

Cruise out to Harmony Grove if you need a quick fix. Nice roads to cruise and not too far from where you are. Nice to see you out and about and you even made it to the coast. Have you thought about Palomar Mountain? Stone Brewery is a nice venue out your way too.
Thanks ZF. I have done Harmony Grove repeatedly already (to & from JPS). El Camino Del Norte also. Almost Palomar today... Soon! - Looks excellent on the map. Done the 78 out to Ramona today - ate at Ramona Cafe. Very tasty. Highland Valley Rd too. Cruised the Coast Hwy a couple of times, La Jolla too. Going to Philz coffee too lol in Encinitas. All over the place - our Outlaw is rockin'.
We hope to have a 1000 miles on the car by next week for our 1st oil change.
Hope to see you Saturday. We'll be easy to spot.
If you find that you need donuts with that coffee...Leucadia Donuts to the North in Leucadia or VG Donuts to the South in Cardiff by the Sea. Pipes Cafe is a great for breakfast (the both of you can share one of their generous breakfast plates) or if you are around for lunch, Fish 101 in Cardiff or Leucadia. And there is always Honey's or Swami's Cafe in Encinitas! There you have a locals POV. Just keep this place a secret

Max,
You are doing the Coupe Owners Gruppe (More on that later) right. I heard they lowered the speed up to Palomar to 35mph to accommodate the Bicyclists!
had an 86 carrera looks like same color..meteor grey
Correct meteor grey metallic.
I can picture that color and style on a Speedster Outlaw hmmmm.
550 miles & counting... Met up with ZF today for a great chat this morning... Cheers ZF!
Then on to more places...
I apologize for so many pics. We have had a long wait and are infatuated with our car at this point!

Max is driving the snot out of his new Outlaw JPS Coupe. He should be up to 500 miles soon. We just left C&C and MadMax is driving to Borrego Springs now where it is expected to be 90F degrees by noon. He is going to have a 200 mile day in his coupe. He is definitely shaking it out. Would be great to get a trip report when he returns from the Desert.
Here are a few shots from this mornings C&C at The Ranch (Rancho Santa Fe). The pics pretty much sum up how the entire morning went for Max and there were certainly no shortages of P-cars, Alfas, Lamborghinis, Ferarris, etc...
Max enjoying gear talk with Rich Fortuzza a long time PCA-SD Zone 8 concourse on the left and another 356 enthusiast who sold engines to The Maestro Harry Pellow (RIP) back in the day. Rich gave the JPS two thumbs up.
Have a great weekend everybody!

You called it ZF! Popular day for the JPS car. Some people knew, some didn't. And one was heard saying theres not a Porsche part in it lol. But they did understand 230 Subaru HP.
ZF has become a friend. Understandable and at the same point in our lives.
Optimism.
Yes we made it to Borrego Springs. The Subie ruled. Power on tap. Cornering is good, and pulls out of corners quite well. 700+ miles now, and two more days of hammering miles (for service purposes).
Hope to meet up with JNCSPYDER in a couple of days with his new JPS coupe also.
We all have heard the JPS story, but I think we got a good one. Keeping after it!

Gordon Nichols posted:Nope. 1993 CMC " Speedster Californian ". Could be the camera angles, though, making her hips look fatter (like JLO).
The Fuchs started out life as black anodized spokes (from Germany - They're real Fuchs) but I thought they would look better against the white car with stripped and polished spokes so I spent 4 entire days on each wheel, stripping (stripping was a useless effort), grinding (that anodizing was really tough), sanding and polishing them to what you now see. Only a retired guy would waste so much time on something so foolish, but they look friggin AWSOME, don't they?
Hey Gordon,
Don't get to see enough pics of your Speedie. I like it! On your 16” Fuchs, what width and tire sizes are you running?
Brian
Max,
I am sending you a PM. If you happen to be in the Temecula wine country area, give me a buzz. I am not back to work until Wednesday. It would be great to meet you and of course, see your awesome ride 🚀. Thanks for logging in your miles with us. Don’t hold back on the pics .... keep em’ coming. I live out here and haven’t gone 400 miles in 2 the years since I got my JPS. What am I waiting for!
Or “Coupe Gruppe” or “C Gruppe” or ....?

Hmmm... So when are we going to see that made into a badge? 😬
Like any Society, we have to agree on a name, colors, design. My design skills are pretty primitive by Today’s standards (MS Paint). That is not to say it couldn’t happen. I am planning on making a 3D ish sign for my garage, if there was any interest, I could make copies. I know there is some members that have done badges. Maybe start a new thread for this and we will see. Oh yah, then there is the Merch ... T-shirts, caps, speedos (Euro members only!)

Thanks!
Currently, they are all 6” wide by 16” with 205/50 tires. That combo handles pretty well.
For years I ran 7” wide rims on the rear (it’s a widebody so they fit) with 225/50 tires. Those really handled well but with rotation sensitive tires I could never rotate them. Traded the rear 7” rims for 6” and never looked back.
Thanks Gordon!. Just bought some 16x6 Maxilite Fuchs. There sure are some interesting sizes at 16”. Us narrow body guys might have to go with the 175/55 up front and the 195/55 out back. I didn’t want to drop to the 50 series in an effort to keep the revs down. Waiting for my brake upgrade to install. Enjoy your Sunday.
Racer Dude
I recently put 15X4 1/2 Maxilites on my 356 SC coupe. The front wheel studs probably will need to be lengthened as the stud does not quite extend through the wheel nut when tightened down. Hope you don't run into the same result.
RACERX, lets shoot for a Tuesday meet up if you can - I PM'd you...
140 miles today, and up to 860 miles on our Blitzkrieg Coupe!
Lake Hodges to Temecula on back roads, over the 74 to San Clemente and then freeway miles back home on the 5. No pictures... boo.
