Lads...my body shop guy says I need a new license plate light gasket. It's the shine up type light. Here's a pic of the rear of the car. Anyone have a gasket sitting on a shelf or can tell me where to find one, please ? Thanks....

Thanks for that, Bill. But I don't know exactly what the part is....is it a legit 356 license plate light, 356 replica ? VW or what ? I have a lead to Sierra Madre and they have a license plate light assembly rubber base part. I'm hoping someone can confirm that is the item stuck on the back of my car.

Wolfie is correct. I ordered one from SM when they were on sale. Fits great. Put it on the housing and make sure the 'lip' is properly seated around the outside of the housing before you install the housing on the body of the car.

I just replaced the one on my Speedster with the SM one Wolfgang posted. Fits very well. Note what Ted said in his post, it is a snug fit and if not seated properly will not allow the assembly to sit right...ask me how I know

David, a better picture of your light would help.
It looks like you may have the light that came with CMCs.
If so, the gaskets mentioned by others may not fit.
