Labor Day Weekend seems a long way off...but then, so did Carlisle not too long ago.

Lime Rock Park has schedules for all three days with a Porsche Corral listed for Sat....but also another Porsche Corral listed for Mon. Sept 1st.

Which day do we SOC'ers show up on?

Entrance fee seems to be (if I understand it correctly) $15 for auto and driver, and $15 for right seater....(Tickets can be purchased through their web site: Lime Rock Park)

A couple things Carl. Saturday is the day Lenny and I, Al and Heid, and Peter V. and Dan O'Connell go. I've been going since 2006, and met Lenny there before I persuaded him to come to Carlisle.

Saturday is Vintage racing day, all the old cars take to the track in anger, and it is awesome to see, hear, and smell the burning rubber! Sunday is a car show(no racing allowed ever on Sunday) on the track and there are more races on Monday, but Saturday is THE day.

$15 is your parking fee, tickets to get in are more, and you have to select them also. The website is confusing and needs to be revised. I know this because I thought the same thing one year! We(Lenny and I) used to get waved in, but in a bid for more money(on LRP's part), now you need to buy your Porsche Paddock pass as well. We can talk more about this in a couple of weeks.

Thanks Danny...then Saturday's the day!

I missed last year because of bogus weather forecasts. Rats, I'm such a coward

But 2012 was a blast...got chased all the way up winding Route 7 by a snarling 911 until my nerves frayed and I pulled over because sweat was blurring my vision.

Joel A was there that year also, but I missed you and Lenny. You guys were pulling in as I was leaving to scoot home to let the dog out...This year I'll pawn my little companion off with my sister, so I'll have time to 'talk Webers' with you.

We're planning on Sat. for the races and Sunday for the car show if the weather is good and we can get room nearby. The ride out through the Berkshires in the morning is almost as much fun as the races, but driving those roads in the dark is not as much fun. Last year it rained buckets after the races with lightning and the whole deal. We were lucky to find a fleabag about 15 miles away with a big heart shaped tub in the room. I opted for the shower.
