lime rock ct. vintage car race day

Hi all,

for all those northeast members, there is a vintage car show at lime rock park in connecticut. Check out limerock.com for info. It looks like a hoot. I will try to make it if I can get off work. By the way it is Sunday, September 3rd I think.

Vintage Car Day at Limerock ALWAYS ROCKS ! ! ! Some of the best cars in the country show up, it's like walking through a magazine feature on every car that you've ever wanted to look at closely, AND the owners/builders are all there to answer your questions.

On top of all that, you can walk the paddock and practically sit in some of the most unbelievable vintage track cars that were ever built.

Then there are the actual races themselves, UNBELIEVABLE! Seeing and hearing these old war horses at speed is like nothing that you can imagine. Nothing AT ALL like seeing them on television. On the track, they stop your heart!

If you're at ALL within driving distance, you've GOT to attend. Make sure to flash your AAA card and get a nice discount at the gate as well, and park across the street from the entrance, in the Church parking lot. It helps them out and is MUCH cheaper than parking on the grounds!

I missed the event, unfortunately. I will try for next year. I was on the highway & saw a lot of cool cars coming from the show.

Not to hijack but the Sebring vintage races are more of the same. Tremdous variety of cars and just as at lime rock you can walk right up to them. I stumbled on to them last year, this weekend but I believe the event was held in Oct. this year. I'm heading down there for the weekend and will see if they are there.
