For anyone in the Northeast area, you might be interested to check out the annual VolksVair Fair, Saturday August 7th. It's helad on the grounds of the Heberts Candy Mansion Rt. 20 in Shrewsbury, MA.

Open to any Air-Cooled VW and brings 75-100 VW based cars together and the same amount of Corvairs.

A seperate Kit Car class usually includes Speedsters, Spyders, Bradley GT and others.

The Dune Buggy class can house 20-30 cars alone.

Hey you Speedster/Spyder owners in the Northeast!

If you've been reading about Knott's on the West Coast and Carlisle on the East Coast and haven't been able to make either one, THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO DO A SHOW!!!!

Saturday, August 7th at Hebert's Candy Mansion in Shrewsbury, Mass is the place to be. Hebert's is on Rt. 20, about 2 miles West of the intersection of rts. 9 and 20, or, if you're coming from the West it's STILL on Rt. 20 (in the same spot, even) about 5 miles East from Exit 11 on the Mass Pike. (I-90) (1 mile East of the intersection of Rts. 20 and 140)

This will be about the biggest Corvair/Volkswagen show of the Summer for Massachusetts, and is held at one of the nicest places in the state, Heberts Mansion! LOTS of the best Gourmet candy on the face of the Earth, as well as a gut-bustin Ice Cream and Sunday bar. They also have "real" food there - none of this "Atkins Certified" stuff for us! NO! REAL Burgers and fries!!

I'm doing my damndest to get my car back on the road and be there, and I know Team Evil is planning on being there, as well as "Boston Bob" with his Speedster. How many others can we get there?

I know this may be getting down to the wire, but I would like to see this become a mini-Carlisle and that Speedsterowners.com again makes it's presence known as THE coolest group of Speedster enthusiasts around.

We're getting more and more Speedsters in the New England area, and we've all been grumping that we've not yet become a cohesive group (other than on this forum) so here's our chance to get together!

If you would like to get together either before or after the show, we can do that at Chris Nichols' house, about a 10 minute ride from the show. He also has one of the best equipped shops in New England if anyone needs any quick repairs either coming or going.

So How 'bout it? Can we get a bunch of Speedsters/Spyders there? Let's get a list going!

So far this is who we know is coming:
Gordon Nichols - 1993 CMC Speedster
Chris Nichols - Drives his Dad's car
Team Evil - 356A Coupe in the works and bunches of other VW's
"Boston Bob" - CMC Speedster and show organizer

Let's get something other than CMC's there!!!

Sign up now!
George said that he might want to go to VolksVair, depending.

We played with his car at Evil Ed's today and I mentioned it to him. We were trying to get him up to NED as well. It looks like a run to Lebanon Valley Drag Way might actually be in the works for later in the Summer, and George was eager to go!

His car is a STAR ! Black body tan interior VS and sensational ! I took tons of pic to show my wife. I 'm trying to convince her to let me cut the roof off of the 356 . . .
