I think someone was looking for one of these. Quality is advertised to be poor, but the price won't break the bank.

And here's a "Porsche" script someone else was looking for. Again, on the cheap but with a while to go on the auction.

Someone had a "What does a kit body cost?" question a couple days ago. Here's a pretty neat idea from the "Ain't never thought about THIS before," category (and you're gonna love this guy's inability to spell):

Last, but certainly not least, Gary Emory's Outlaw racer is still up for grabs. $71K and the reserve's STILL not met. I stuck this up here a month or so ago for the detail value and cool ideas. For those who didn't have a look at it then, this thing is wickedly cool:

Cool links!

What's going on with Gary Emory's Outlaw cars ! ? ! ? I saw that the one called "Farmer's '55" in the article in Excellence Magazine is also up for sale. High end craftsmanship, high asking prices. and no takers on either car.

Has the idea of the Rat Rod finally filtered into the 356 scene as well? Run what ya brung but bring enough? Have burgers replaced brie? Hope so, 'cause I'm all set to mount up and ride.

I figure if I want fancy louvers coverin' the side rear windows I'll cut 'em outta the back panel of an old oven and tack weld 'em in place my damned self.
I don't know what the asking used to be for these things, but if it was me and money wasn't an object I'd sure ride out there to that Jag dealership and slap some plates on that bad beeotch. Then I'd drive the car all the way back here to the East Coast with my bomber jacket zipped all the way up and my frigging helmet on.
I've liked every one of his creations since I started paying attention to them five years ago.
The first listing I saw for that particular car had a whole slew of detail shots with it, and it looked like there were enough questions answered in the photos to justify the asking price. This ad looks to be one made by someone (the Jag dealer?) who bought it on the margin and is trying to sell it again for a profit. Just guessing; can't find the old ad and don't remember where I saved the images. (I'm getting old, you see; it's probably time to start prepping my beautiful corpse.)
But more to the point, who would buy a car like that and not drive it? Isn't that what it's FOR? Might as well put square wheels on it if you're going to hide it from the sun.
