Looking for a BRA like this one.

If anyone has this type of Bra or knows who makes them, please let me know. Myself and another IM owner would like to purchase them if we can find them. I spoke with Henry, but he does not carry this type. It would have to fit an Intermeccanica. Thank you. Chris

No way to remove it at the moment.
You know I was just giving you a hard time.
I have one of those bras and they are of minimal benefit.
You still get chips in the hood, above the headlights and, of course, the bumper.

Chris, Wardlow in Los Angeles is the best.

x2 for Wardlow. They did a 3-piece bra for my car that covers almost everything ahead of the front wheel centerline. the 3-piece bit is important, because you don't have to remove anything to get the hood open for gas.

Like Terry said. That is a Vintage bra and I don't believe you can get one anywhere else.

I have the Wardlow full bra and bought it because it protects the entire front of the car. However, the reality is that you would need to keep it on all the time, because there are probably more stones being kicked up just driving around town then there are on a long distance drive. If you are like me, you won't want to keep it on all the time and in fact, I don't even put it on for long trips anymore.

That leaves you with two alternatives.

1. The clear 3M bra. Lots of people have them and prefer them. Personally, I just can't get past the childhood memory of going to my grandmother's home and sitting on her furniture that was covered with clear plastic.

2. Wear your stone chips proudly and buy some touch-up paint.

Thanks Terry and everyone else. I know you were busting my chops Terry. I have been following this forum for a few years and know its par for the course..... My next question was if anyone has done with the clear bra or if the feeling is that it is too modern. I get the point about plastic on the chairs. My mothers 100 percent Italian and she still has the plastic on the entire dining room sets chairs... I may go clear bra regardless because I'm really gonna be bothered by the inevitable chips andni agreem I probably wouldnt want to take it on and off over and over again like Troy said....thanks again for all the info.

If I had it to do over, I'd probably do the clear bra because what Troy said is correct. I live in a coastal town that's also a big container port AND has a lot of construction going on. The road debris here is BRUTAL, and the front of my car shows the results. Touch-up paint can only do so much. When budget allows for paint repair and clear bra, I'll probably go that route.

Chris, the 3M Bra is only slightly visible and the piece of mind it gives you along with stone chip protection is worth it. I'll have one put on the IM soon. Here is a pic on my old VS. Its even on the bumpers.

Thanks Lane and Marty. Marty, I can't even see the bra on yours. I think it's probably very subtle on gray. Final question: How far up did you go with it? My car is going to be black, so I'm concerned about the white wax line you tend to get, but I really think its worth it to protect it.. Thanks again. Got pix of my chassis last night from Henry. It's exciting, but also makes me realize how much longer I have to wait!!!

My BMW is black and I avoid the wax line by being careful when I apply it. If you do get some caked along the edge, use a Q-tip with a little alcohol on it to remove the wax. Easy-peasy.

Vinyl bra only will leave wear and tear marks defeating the purpose of preserving your paint.

CLEAR paint protection is visible if you look for it , Partial kits 15" from front of hood, if you do the whole hood you can't see it.

It's not cheap $550.00 - $700.00 either is paint repair, pay now or pay later?

The best material is 3M / Venture Shield Ultra

Desi, please call me if you see this. 630-205-9616. My car goes in for 3M next week here in IL and my guy here is very good but said he had no pattern and needs to do custom. Does a pattern exist for a 356A? He could only find one for 62-65 model years. He does great job but I want the IM done as good as we can get it. Thanks. Marty

Marty.... there is no pattern,needs to be done custom.

Use 8-10" from front of hood and film should lay, of course try to cover as much as possible.

Installer should remove handle, lights, bumper, horn grill

Still no bra on my end.... Not sure what's going on....

I bought the $305 Wardlow hood/ fender bra. The $50 bra never came about... That wardlow looks bad ass.

That is a Maine Coon Cat! Normal or slightly small sized lady & a pretty big male Maine Coon.
VERY Cool breed of cat, some of the best pets I've had. BIG, gentle & smart.......I still have two.

I have a 20 lb Maine Coon male and a 24 lb South American Ocelet. Both excellent pets. The Ocelot is a bit scarey until you build trust with her.
