I found this one while cruising ebay. Looks pretty nice. Probably the same price as jps & half price of an intermeccanica. good deal!

I did not notice the buy it now price. In my sinical mind, all I can think is that "something is not right" or "the pictures make it look a lot better than it is" because I think that 29.5K is pretty damn low.

Or, because the gauges don't work.."it may be a fuse, I don't know" actually means, "it needs a complete wiring harness"

Or the guy doesn't know what he is doing.
Dale The project is back up on the radar screen. The body goes on the frame this week. The car is wired so it should take a couple of weeks.....I think I said that 11 months ago....well it's only been 30 months so far....still no pictures so I try not to be too excited....done that to many times.....I will keep you posted...could have had 3 IM's built in this time frame.....
Michael:

Bought my CMC kit in 1993.

First, I had to add a third bay onto my garage to build the car in - that took about 14 part-time months (I built the garage myself).

Then, I first wanted to go the Fierro, V-6 route, til I found that the two (Speedster body and Fierro pan) were incompatible - that took another 9 months, including selling the stripped Fierro for $200 more than I paid for it.

Then I went the VW route and forged ahead, but my "real" work picked up, too, so the car became a nights and occasional weekend thing, often slipping into the distant background (I was traveling a lot and working way too many hours).

Needless to say, the original 6 month estimation eventually became eight (8) years, but it's now been on the road since 2001 (I had to retire from my "work" to find the time to complete it) and I've been having a ball ever since.

My son recently used it as his wedding day "get away car" - guess that made it all worthwhile!!

Kevin -- can you get me that number from the Post? (Seriously.)
Nice visit with you yesterday, too. Hope you gave up on the Redskins before lightning hit the stadium lights!
I got soaked by the storm while I was out in mid-afternoon. I ought to start checking forecasts. BTW -- beers on the weekend of the Dragon run will be on me.
Cory, good times. Sorry, but I did not take the post with me and I can't search online as they are not the same adds. the paper ads are cheaper.... online ads are a fortune. If you know anyone with last weeks... archives or the library... it was in the classifieds mid-week.

Me and my buddy were just about get on the ghettro when we heard about the delay... ended up belli-up to a bar and watched it on TV. Def'y the right call too!
