Al, Pulled your part this morning and will box it up shortly.
Carl, yours will be ready tomorrow.
Still have the one set of just louvers that can be roughed in if anyone wants to tackle that job.

I'm having trouble with these in-progress photos.
If by "flipped" do you mean up side down...or inside out ?
Stumpp mentioned that he thought you spliced louved metal panels into the lid and that they haven't cracked at the joints...
If they are metal, did you use a two part epoxy or a urethane adhesive with the backing glass cloth ?
And, what brand body filler on the surface seams for finishing ?
I flip the aluminum louvres and rotated them 180 degrees to get the flat profile. I used Mar-glass adhesive to bond them in the router recess area. Look at the right side of the one photo and youll see the outline. Made sure you made up the tolerance for the adhesive. After the adhesive dries I laid a layer of 10 oz E-glass over the louvres and used vinyl- ester resin . Vinyl ester has the least shinkage over orthaphalic and isophallic resins. Basic composite knowledge - you can applied epoxy over poli resins , you can't apply poli resins over epoxies.
"My vents are flipped to allow air out since there are forced air ducts on the side. The original way will draw air in . Air current eddys"
Joe- When conventional hot-rod style louvers are used with the raised portion on the outside of the engine lid (and the opening to the rear) I was under the impression that their curved surface acted like an airplane wing at speed and created a low pressure area that would suck air out of the engine compartment; how will this draw air in?
He's not trying to draw air in through the louvers. It's being pushed out from the side vent/ducts I think.
It sure looks cool like shark gills. How's the Volks-Rod comming along?
Joe - Are your side vents (by wheels) ducted to engine compartment or wheel wells?
Thinking I'd be different, I bought extra CMC cast Hibachi engine grill with idea of a late C style dual grill engine lid (out of fiberglass). Not high on my priority list though.
Sylvio, yes they left here last week (Wednesday or Thursday I believe). When my parts guy gets back in I'll have him pull a tracking number.
"no one knows I'm in the garage."
I play that card now, a lot.......
Gordon;
That's great.
