She's gone.
Somewhere in the middle of Pacific Coast Highway, possibly near Laguna Beach, CA possibly lies my hubcap crest from my 2005 Vintage Speedster. Why it chose to abandon me last week I will never know. It didn't even say goodbye.
My heart was set to spend the rest of our lives together, loving, caressing, and polishing like no other crest before. Like a short farewell note hastily written on the naked hubcap were the 3 mounting studs and remnants of the stud bases. No indication of it ever returning on it's own. I don't know what it was that I had said, did or even didn't do, I know I will never see it again.
I know now I must go on no matter how much it hurts. I must look forward to be complete again.
If you happen to see it, let it know I will accept it back unconditionally with an open heart, and that I am willing to change the errors of my ways and also to provide a safer and more secure place to reside.
Description:
Born in 2005. She is really quite young but looks much closer to 57 years old.
She was quite thin but approx. 60mm round where it counts.
Last seen dressed in red and black and trimmed with gold.
Bear in mind she left without her 3 studs, (I knew she had them, it was her own well hidden little secret), she might be traveling alone.
She often presented herself as German but her origins are likely from the orient.
I am open for adopting another crest to fill the gap in my life. If you know of a crest that needs a new place live please let me know. Sometimes they have been found residing in cardboard boxes like the homeless dwellings in lesser spoken corners of the city. I promise to provide and care for it. It is my purpose. I know I can love again.
Please, Single crests only, no married crests.
