After twenty years without any noise in my Speedster (apart from a F4 howling at high RPM!), I have bought a Blaupunkt Radio which has been updated with an iPod/mP3 connection.

I'm planning to install this in a cradle underneath my dash.

Initially, I'll probably just rivet a speaker up under the dash, however I want to put some 'Retro' speakers in the doors. I guess I'm thinking round, chrome bezel and grill - I really mean just the grill and bezel, not the actual speaker; my understanding is that I can put a 'Modern' speaker behind the grill. Comments?

I'm finding it difficult to find somewhere that sells such an item. Anybody have any ideas?

I am aware of http://www.turnswitch.com/services.htm however, although they sell speakers, I don't really like their available grills.........

Does anybody have photographs of theirs or any ideas?

Thankyou.

You could make your own; here's a few raw materials sources that may offer small sizes in perforated sheet stock:
McMaster-Carr-- http://www.mcmaster.com/ (search word "p-e-r-f" and you'll get a drop-down menu...)
Online Metals-- http://www.onlinemetals.com/merchant.cfm?pid=13492&step=4&id=1003&top_cat=60
OR-
ADD: http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=speaker+grill&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=

My recollection is this issue has been around the SOC barn a few times before. Maybe the search feature can resurect it. There are the "true" repos as Carey explains for mucho dinero, and some clever folks (like tc the forum prick) who have figured ways to make mighty good looking close representations from ordinary stuff -- like strainer baskets, or some such. But you gotta be clever to do it. Good luck.
