Vintage Speedster. Just got done putting new german square weave carpet in. Black interior.
Has Carrera script, headlight grills. I have replaced many of the chrome pieces with higher quality parts. Make me an offer

Take a look at my Guards red Vintage in the "Vintage Speedster in Washington" submission. Color is "wrong" but the 200 mi is about as few as you are likely to find.

Clint - Don't be so fast to shy away froma a well maintained car with several thousand miles. These cars tend to take a while to sort out all of the issues, and usually are better after the first 5000 miles than they were new - I know mine certainly is.

I would have to agree. I bought a very well maintained car with 12000 miles on it. Had it checked it and the guy said it was in great shape.

Clint, I know it's spring-working-on-summer, but the best time to find one of these cars on a deal, so to speak, is autumn or winter, when the unsupported owner (not in a club like this, or who bought it from a classified) discovers that they're damp and chilly over the November to March period. You might have to travel or arrange a trailer to grab the deal, but if you find one, jump.
There are thousands (2,500 was one estimate) of these cars in North America, and I'd bet money a good quarter of them are silver over black.
You'll find one. Patience and vigilance are the watchwords.

Looks like I found the right car. Putting a deposit on it and have a flight to go get it booked. Saturday is the day. If all works out it should be a nice ride home.
