Eddie---what Ron said. I had Jake swap out my Weber clones (empi hpmx) for a set of Dellorto 40s that he was saving for himself---he got them from Art Thaen whi went through them. They are damned near as smooth as fuel injection!
On Dells you can actually change or clean the idle jets by just removing the air filters--they're right there. In fact after I got my Dells I gave my C B Performance Jet Doctots out of the away free on this site because I won't be needing them now.
Dells have about 5 circuits rather that 2-3 like Webers which were made to be used as a racing carb---either open or closed. Dells have 5 circuits so it's much smoother from zero to whatever. Dells use ball bearings for smoothness too---there are no ball bearings in a Weber.
I am so happy that I made the switch.
There was nothing wrong with the HPMxs either--they also were redone by Art and were primo. I just wanted the best available.
Give Art a call.
