How much do you have to spend? How soon do you want it delivered? Air Cooled or water? Wide body or classic? New or used? Side curtain Speedster or windup window Cabriolet?
I see you are in Northern VA - I lived in Springfield. There are several owners in your area. The big gathering is in only a couple weeks at Carlisle PA. Travel up for the day and you will see over 40 various make Speedsters. For sure SE Beck will be there and IM is also usually there.
PLEASE EDUCATE yourself and try NOT to be impulsive.....MEASURE TWICE/CUT ONCE!
We will plan to attend the show in Carlisle Pennsylvania, thank you for that advice!
Great idea, Bobicat! You will meet a bunch of great folks more than willing to share info & experiences with their Speedsters. You will gain a great visual & hands-on education to help you with your search for a car that suits you.
Here is a trailer from an SOC gig in Carlisle a few years ago. When the video starts, click on the 'Gear' icon in the lower right and adjust the video quality to 720HD.
Hope to see ya there!
Loved it, but where are all the girls!? Don't want to be the only chick

Analiese called me last night and said she'd be there. Needs to find a guy to share a room tho'...
Maggi and Syl live near you in Falls Chuch - Can't miss their Speedster "Candi"
This year Syl & Maggie are out. I just helped Syl finish packing his U-Haul and load up his TT on a trailer for his drive out to their new home in Grand Junction, CO. He was going to head out after rush hour today.
I live in Oakton, VA and plan to head up to Carlisle on Saturday for the day unless rain. If there's rain I'll pick the best day to drive up. I have a SE/Beck 356 & 550.

All SOC gigs are family events (such as Carlisle) and a gathering of down-to-earth people. It's kinda like a family reunion...except everyone gets along great!
Here's a video from a few years ago that should give you an overview of what you can expect! Hope to see you at Carlisle 2017!

LOL. I wonder how many people are going to believe you David?
While there are a lot of women involved who are in attendance at these gathering, there are only a couple of women who occasionally post here. They are Angela from Oregon and POM from ???. There are several others listed, if you search the member list, but I have never seen them post.
Bottom line is that you won't be out of place if you go to Carlisle. And, Vince won't be there so you won't have to worry about that!
Very few know Analiese and I'm ok with that...... :-)
Ahh the silicone Gal
