Marty what is the easiest way to apply for plates and registration. I saw your route 66 plate and think that is the way to go. Can I just hit a local dmv?
Thanks.
Joe
Nope, call me. I have the contact info for the one guy who can help you.

Cogratulations, Joe! Welcome to the Madness -- and the smile is called the SEG -- the Sh
Looks like the same A-1 that I have on my speedster.
Yup, that's an A1 Sidewinder.
Check out Joe's engine. DTM Shroud? looks cool!
Congrats on the Speedster - looks great. Curious how the car handled on the highway as I have not taken that plunge yet. Finally drove mine a whopping 80 miles Friday from Rockford to DeKalb and back via the backroads and that took some "getting used to".
Just wanted to thank everyone once again for all your help and advice. I have already put 400 miles on my speedster in just two weeks. Of course thinking of winter tweaks. Need to add a dead pedal (thanks Tom), debating about driving lights and definetiely need a coffee/drink holder. Mostly cosmetic stuff but the list will be growing. Marty could not resist the photo opp today on the way to my sisters.

Nice looking car, Joe.
Very COOL! I'm sure you'll get a lot of envious stares and thumbs up along the way!
I agree on the cup holder issue as I ran into that one this morning.
Thanks Lane and Jim.
Steve - was combing the forums on cup holders and Marty has this in his IM. Really hoping this will work in our Beck.

Joe. Nice car. I sent Carey Marty's video to show him the cup holder installation. I'm hoping to get these put in next winter. For the last couple of years, I've been using a Beetle basket that fits on the tunnel. It gets the job done. I have the one in black. I didn't buy it here, but don't remember where. You might be able to find it somewhere else for less. With a little luck, this will be one of my raffle items next year at Carlisle. http://www.pacificcustoms.com/AC857120W.html. The one on the driver's side is larger and can hold a 20 oz bottle.
It was extremely easy. They have a wire pigtail with a plug on the end that plugs into the socket as a replacement for the bulb. I fabricated some, um, thingies to hold them in proper position from a Coke can I had just finished drinking from. That took a couple of minutes to fit. Do a search for the topic I wrote or look in my gallery for the pictures.
As for a cup holder, here's what I did:
