Looking to get a Coupe

Hello,
Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm new to the forum, and I am looking to get a JPS Coupe. I'm about a year out from making a purchase. The upside of that, is I have lots of time for research, planning and dreaming.
The reason for the JPS choice is I really want a coupe, and want to have an air cooled engine. Love the sound of an air cooled motor.
I've seen on previous "got any advice" posts, that the best method to get advice on a specific builder and model is to contact people listed in the Registry. I'll be doing just that.

Hi Chris,

Welcome to the forum. JPS has lots of loyal customers on this forum, who can provide personal experiences with their builds. FWIW, John is just starting on a coupe for one of the members now. Don't know where you're from, but a visit to the manufacturer is always a good idea, as is attending one of the functions that SOC members put on around the country. Best of luck in whatever you end up buying.

I'm located in central Texas.. a little more then a day's drive to Cali, but I do plan to visit John's shop. I'll be out in LA this summer, so hopefully that trip will allow some time to visit JPS.
Gerd, I've seen several posts commenting on how nice your coupe is. Unfortunately, I'm just starting on my Coupe piggybank. Can I put your Coupe on layaway? lol
