I just purchased a 1999 Intermeccanica and the hood handle is loose.  I thought I could remove the latching mechanism under the hood to access the handle bolt, but no luck.  I tried to see if the IM emblem could be popped out but it started to bend and didn’t budge.

While on the topic of Emblems, has anyone replace their Intermeccanica emblems with Porsche emblems? From what I’ve seen, the attachment studs are not in the same location.  Any ideas on the best way to replace them without the previous holes being visible?

Thanks for the help!

I wouldn't bother IM on a 20 year old car!  If hood is carpeted, feel for small 1/4" holes in inner fiberglass hood liner and cut X or access hole.  Most likely the stud vibrated out or the nut came off.  Use locktite to reassemble or even JB Weld.  If your car doesn't have the rubber gaskets under the handle, order them from Klasse356 and add them - makes it look less kit car.
