Thanks to some of you, I am very happy with the handling of my JPS Coupe  (Castor, alignment, air pressure ect....adjustments.)

Now I would like to reduce the play in the steering wheel as much as possible.

I did a search but didn't find the cure, might have been operator error.

What needs or can be done ?  Thanks in advance for your trouble...bart

There is an thread on either  The Samba or Shop Talk Forums (I can't find the link at the moment) by a guy who explains what can be done to a steering box. He used to "rebuild" them for one of the California retailers in the '90's. I'll look some more later. Don't just tighten the screw coming out of the top of the box.

It might be the Cal Look Lounge...

Found it-  http://cal-look.no/lounge/inde...p/topic,19621.0.html

Look for the post by hotrodsurplus about halfway down the page. Hope this helps. Al
