Bill.......If Chico built your engine, perhaps you are close to his shop in Arcadia ca. he does a lot of VW high performance work and ships all over the place. We have become friends and I buy most of my parts from him.

Hi Bruce

Thanks for the invite will take you and PM you shortly. I am in west LA.  When there no traffic you get get almost anywhere in 30 minutes.

Wolfgang sometimes is a man of few words. What he is showing there is a short "regular" length arm in comparison to the longer available arm that is on the transmission in the picture. There is a significant mechanical advantage in using the longer arm and the benefit is that much less foot pressure is required by the driver. 

Be aware when ordering a new clutch arm that some of them have different diameters in the spline area.
