Just a note to say how good it is to see so many new Speedster owners and Speedster shoppers shoppers here on the SOC. The hobby is definitely growing as shown by all the new names on here and that's great!

They want to know about distributors, sway bars, carbs and whatever and they will get all their questions expertly answered here.

I hope we can impart to them that the REAL fun and main payoff from owning a Speedster is attending the events like Carlisle, Pismo, Marty's Midwest Run, Smokies and the coffee runs out West and extra's like musbejim's group drives. To me that's really the best part of the whole thing.

it would be pretty cool to see the website analytics for this site. (well - at least i think it would be cool).

on my site ( http://www.mangosmoothie.ca ) i see where all the traffic comes from on a big map. it's pretty neat. all kinds of places i didnt even know spoke English, let alone would be interested in what i do/did.

sort of a ramble, but i agree - welcome folks. :)
Yes, that's our own Lane Anderson during the "Eat 5 egg sammiches in 5 minutes" portion of the Carlisle event. That's me judging in the background.

Just kidding.......

What impressed me on here is the number of people coming on board, often without a Speedster but just as often having recently purchased one, knowing little about their maintenance and care and being a little scared about what they've done, but finding a whole bunch of people who welcome them in and can answer their questions to whatever detail is needed and making them feel much more at ease.

THAT, plus the camaraderie on here you just can't get at any other "bar" in town.

Here's to "Speedstah Folks"!!
