Loud Speedster Horns for safety

The horn on my 356 is fun but offers no safety benefits. Has anyone found a horn that is loud enough to be heard on the freeway?

I swapped the stock horn for 356 dual-tone Helas and found that was marginal, so I added air-horns. I liked them well enough that I had the air-horn wired to the horn button and have an old bus horn button further down the steering wheel colum for the others...

Oh man, I had forgotten about that You Tube video. That is HI-larious; although if I were the one crappin' my pants, I don't think it would be as funny.

Paul; where can I find dual tone 356 Hellas? I've searched for a while. My VS has a single VW Bug horn (maybe that was accurate for the 356A's?).

I got mine on eBay. Make certain to ask if they work. I bought a few before I got the 'set' I have now!

Thanks Paul! Those are the ones. I've searched for a while and they always want to sell you generic Bug horns as replacements for 356's.

Paul, I got a pair of those and finished installing them with Jjr last night. I installed them in front of the horn grilles just like the originals using some shelf brackets I got at the hardware store and bolted to the bumper brackets. Being where they are (right in front of the horn grilles) they are definitely HEARD and they're loud too but with a characteristic dual tone that sounds close to the Bug beep but with a twist. They're also very heavy duty (Hella Germany).
